Albacete’s economy is part of a long history of commerce, arts & crafts and Industry.
Just like the wine and local cheeses, Albacete’s cutlery enjoys great prestige and recognition all over the world. Far from collapsing the Albacete industry has been entering new sectors and at the same time strengthening tradition. So in this manner we are capable of accommodating new modern companies in industries such as distribution, logistics, aeronautics, renewable energies, aluminium, automotive and robotics.
Albacete has numerous industrial parks, most of them are located very close to the capital: the “Parque Aeronáutico y Logístico”; the “Parque Tecnológico Ajusa” dedicated the automotive sector, and the “Campollano”, “Romica” and “Camporroso” industrial parks, open to any industry. Besides, the presence of these, the Scientific and Technological park hosts: automation, robotics, bio-medics, renewable energies and information technologies.
On the other hand, Albacete’s town hall plans to multiply by three the available land for industrial activity until it reaches 20 million square meters.
All this when combined with Albacete’s privileged strategic location and the important communications infrastructure that is being developed, make any forecast on economical and employment generation almost incalculable.
